“It was amazing peace of mind to have a ticket in hand before going to the villa. There were a lot of disappointed people waiting in line for sold-out tickets the day I went. Going around the villa at my own pace was also a plus. P.S. There is an unrelated, unmarked water taxi dock that will take you directly to the villa from Lenno and I also can’t recommend that enough. Saves you a 30 minute uphill walk and you can still use your GYG ticket at the villa water entrance.”

“Our guide Violetta was great, providing info and assistance to all guests. On ferry ride, it was nice to experience the beauty of Lake Como and small towns. We hit the highlights in Bellagio and enjoyed the beauty of Villa Balbianello. Be prepared for a lot of walking to include uphill and steps, especially at Villa Balbianello if the boat from the ferry to the villa is not available.”

“Absolutely beautiful and scenic! It’s about a one-mile walk from the ferry drop-off point, but the views along the way make it well worth it. There’s an optional 2 km mountain trail you can take to reach the villa, or you can choose a more direct path. We opted for the mountain trail — it was a lovely experience, though be prepared for a steep uphill climb.”

“This tour gave us an overall familiarity with the various locales on the lake, included an awesome lunch in a beautiful upscale hotel restaurant, as well as an informative tour of Villa Balbianello, not only the beautifully landscaped grounds, but the extremely interesting story of the owner who built it. We were provided transportation from our ferry drop off point as well as useful recommendations as to which boat to take in order to make the tour on time. Worth the price.”

“An incredible, local experience exploring the streets of Bellagio and passageways in the Lake Como area. Elena was incredibly personal and invited each guest to share about themselves as part of the experience. She taught us about hidden treasures on the Lake, and brought us to sample a few (pastries, lake fish, cappuccino). We absolutely loved spending our time learning more about the area and visiting the gorgeous Villa Balbienello.
