We felt so relaxed knowing that they had full control, making our one in a lifetime experience truly magical. “First, there is nothing “private” about this “private” cruise except for the 45-min ferry ride in Lake Comp. Everything else was done via public transportation with the public. The tour guide Majella (not sure about the spelling) shouts at the microphone, maybe she doesn’t know that a microphone amplifies voice. She’s not very friendly either — if you ask questions, she’ll either say “I already said that earlier” or “I’ll talk about it later”. Girl, we ask questions because we can’t understand you. None of that screaming makes sense. She made us take a picture of the map rather than giving us maps (what’s a few pennies worth of paper…”

“Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The water can get a little choppy, I thought it all part of the fun - but if you’re a nervous swimmer you might get anxious. However, our guide instilled confidence and the kayaks are very stable. The guide Michael (wrong spelling - sorry!) was informative and humorous but low key enough to allow us to enjoy the natural beauty all around. It was wonderful to see the towering cliffs and cloud wreathed mountains from a different angle. Great bit of exercise too!”

“We booked this tour because of time constraints that made the ferry schedules along Como difficult for a DIY excursion, and the experience was just what we wanted. Leaving from Varenna allowed for beautiful views of the city, and the circuit around the lake was gorgeous. The boat was very nice and smooth, and it was easy enough to find the correct dock for pick-up.”
